Despite the snowy, cold and windy weather, about 35 people attended. Participants met the Easter Bunny and had donuts in the garage of the home before hunting for eggs. All the children found many eggs and received prizes from the Easter Bunny’s basket. They also had the opportunity to take their picture with the Easter Bunny.
The event is one way the teens at Westons Mills Group Home give back to the community. Andre, Kyle and Xavier, teens from the home, helped hide the eggs for the event. The event was organized by Laurie Fowler, coordinator of Westons Mills Group Home.
A generous amount of food was collected for the Portville Food Pantry at the event.
