The Timber Wolves, the leadership club of Randolph Children’s Home, completed hope-inspiring murals March 28 for the community’s homeless at Cattaraugus Community Action’s Jefferson Resource Building.
Just last fall, the Timber Wolves painted the floors of the CCA building, as well as the Lighthouse Soup Kitchen. Now, they have returned to the community center in hopes of lifting the spirits of those who are less fortunate.
The Timberwolves who contributed to the mural pieces are Angie, Nichole, Samantha, Carolyn and Zila.
The murals painted in the Community Action apartments were created to give the residents a sense of hope and opportunity. The murals are titled “Dare to Dream,” “Working Towards a Dream,” and “Dreams Come True.”
The paintings of these murals are more things that the Timber Wolves can add to their list of community services. The leadership club has volunteered to help the community in a variety of different community projects. For example, they’ve done landscaping projects, restored parks and cemeteries, done soup kitchen work, served dinners at benefits and painted toys for the Toymakers of Randolph, which go to children in distress.
