Breontai is waiting for adoption

Heart Gallery features
youth awaiting adoption

Breontai, 15, is one of the youth featured in the Heart Gallery, an exhibit of portraits of youth awaiting adoption. The Heart Gallery continues through May 17 at the Burchfield Penney Art Center at Buffalo State College, 1300 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo.

Breontai enjoys music, dancing and fashion. She is a natural leader and has enjoyed participation in several youth programs. In spite of her many losses, she has maintained a B average in school! She is inquisitive, energetic, thoughtful and considerate.

Breontai is currently in foster care with Global Village Therapeutic Foster Care. She needs a loving and nurturing family that can provide her with permanency, and a balance of structure, guidance, positive reinforcement and support.

For more information, contact Jackie Schmitt-Haines, permanency social worker with New Directions, at 358-3636, ext. 245, or jschmitt-haines@ndyfs.org.
